學習目標

A set of common learning goals are developed for all undergraduate programs, master programs, and PhD programs. Each program has their own specific learning goals. The learning goals are listed as follows.

 

Undergraduate degree programs (BBA and BS)

Goal 1: Mathematics/IT knowledge and skill
Apply quantitative techniques and information technology literacy to management.

1.1    Quantitative Techniques: Student has the ability to apply mathematical or quantitative methodologies to evaluate data and test assumptions in a case analysis.
1.2   Information Technology: Student has the ability to describe information system concepts, utilizes appropriate online and related electronic technology skills, and demonstrates the ability in computer program coding.

Goal 2: Analytical thinking
Develop abilities in problem solving and decision making.

2.1   Problem Solving: Student has the ability to identify a problem and analyze the information in a problem situation with appropriate tools.
2.2   Decision Making: Student will weigh the significance of assumptions and identify the alternatives.

Goal 3: Communication
Develop skills in effective communication and teamwork.

3.1   Communication Skill: Student has the ability to present information in a clear, organized and logical fashion while engaging the audience. Student can demonstrate effective writing in a paper or project thesis on a business /research topic.
3.2   Teamwork: Student participates in a team and demonstrates the quantity and quality of contributions to the team tasks for individual members.

Be aware of business ethics

4.1   Business Ethics: Student recognizes ethical dilemmas, the stakeholders involved, and the consequences of different decisions on these stakeholders.

Goal 1: Problem identification and analytical thinking
Student demonstrates ability in problem identification and analytical thinking in the context of research.

1.1   Problem identification: Student has the ability to describe the situation and formulate the situation into problem
1.2    Analytical thinking: Student has the ability to define a research framework, propose solution methodology, and identify conclusions

Student has ability to implement methodology and techniques in the context of research.

 

2.1    Methodology implementation: Student has the ability to implement the proposed methodology appropriately.

Goal 3: Communication skills
Student has the ability in oral presentation and thesis writing in a clear, logical and organizational manner.

3.1    Oral presentation: Student demonstrates a high proficiency in oral communication and presentations
3.2    Professional writing: Student demonstrates a high proficiency in research thesis writing.

1.2   Broadness of knowledge: Student shows a wide range of knowledge in the professional area.
1.3   New and up-to-date knowledge: Student shows an up-to-date knowledge in the professional area.

2.1   Develop a research problem: Student develops an interesting and unique research problem.
2.2   Ability to select, analyze and apply relevant literature: Student has the ability to select, analyze and apply the relevant literature to answer the research topic
2.3    Understanding of research methods: Student demonstrates breadth and depth of knowledge of research methods
2.4   Research conclusion: Student has the ability to arrive at a research conclusion based on a thorough analysis
